Fun in the Month of May

The month of May was a lot of fun! A preschool graduation, completion of Kindergarten, strawberry picking, and a trip to the beach!
We were so proud of Levi when he graduated from preschool! We will miss Mrs. Larisa as she taught both Wyatt and Levi for their preschool year. Here is my handsome graduate!
There were only 3 boys in his class and according to Levi, they always chased the girls on the playground!
Here is Wyatt playing soccer w/ his cousin in their grandparents' backyard at the beach.
Levi is playing croquet with his cousin during our beach trip over Memorial Day weekend.
No trip to the OBX is complete without a picture of Levi kicking the waves!
Wyatt is now 4 feet tall! We love the Hall Family Farm and go there every year to pick the sweetest strawberries ever!
Levi is just a few inches short of being 4 feet tall.
Fun on the hayride at the strawberry farm.
Levi loves to pick things out of the garden so much, that he even helped his friend fill up his basket after he had finished his own.
Wyatt being silly in the strawberry fields.
The fun duck "races" at the strawberry farm.
Levi loves to feed the animals anytime there is a festival in downtown Waxhaw. He only let this little baby goat eat from his cup. Any other animal that tried to get some food from him, went hungry until they found someone else's cup!
Enjoying special treats of ice cream and cotton candy after getting a spider face paint!
When we went to the beach over Memorial Day weekend, Levi was very serious about his "hunting for wood". Some kids collect shells at the beach, but my son, looks for large pieces of driftwood or firewood! He is very strong...strong willed and just strong physically too!
He loves to run along the base of the dunes and sometimes tries to sneak up and climb the dunes!
One night Grandpa Haines took the grandkids for ice cream down the street...they all wanted to ride in his truck cab!

Playing baseball on the beach with cousins!
My little buddy!
We are praying for Grandpa Haines!
Got out the slip and slide for some fun after school was done! I put some dish soap on it to make it more slippery and what I thought would be more fun, but they both complained when they got all "bubble-ly" down their pants!

Levi's 5th Birthday

My baby is five years old! Bittersweet feelings from this momma! We started off his special day with a #5 pancake! H was so happy to finally be 5!
We had a house full of boys for his Angry Birds themed birthday party!
They had to make structures out of wooden blocks to set the "pigs" on. (Pinterest idea, of course)
They were very creative with their set up of the structures and the pig placement.
Then they threw bean bags as the angry birds to see what they could knock down.
The party room all decorated! Thanks Pinterest for the balloon ideas!
All their goody bags lined up on the mantel, waiting to be filled with candy knocked out of the piƱata.
So proud and happy to be 5 and to have a blue angry bird cake.
Daddy and Mommy love you so much, Levi!
There's my handsome boy eating his cupcake at preschool!

Family Vacation!!

We finally went on a family vacation where didn't go with extended family or to visit extended family! While doing things with our extended family is great, it was fun to just be the four of us! We drove down to Clearwater Beach the day before Easter. It was great to be back at our old church on Easter Sunday! We stayed with some friends from college for Easter weekend as the hotels were booked. Then we headed down to our hotel on Clearwater Beach for 3 days! It was perfect! The weather couldn't have been any better and the boys had a blast seeing where we used to live! We also stopped in at Raymond James Financial (Adam's previous employer and my current PT from home employer). It was great to meet face to face with my boss and co-workers. Then we stopped by our condo to "check on things" (in actuality, nothing needed checking as we have had a great tenant for the past 4 years!) It was fun to show Wyatt where he first lived when he was baby. As we were walking around the condo complex, pool, tennis courts, etc, Wyatt asked me "Mommy, why don't we live here anymore?" I could tell that he was loving what he was seeing and couldn't believe that we would ever leave a place like that! :-)
The pictures below show a bit of our wonderful vacation!

Other happenings in March and April

This is a post with some random pictures from March and April...

Tire Swing Fun at a beautiful, local park. We love Waxhaw, NC!
One day when I was doing something with Levi, I noticed Wyatt was writing something down in the other room. Later, he showed me what he was doing. In the picture below, you will see...I was shocked and amazed! He just loves math and write these type of problems out for fun...just out of his head. And he loves to play with calculators too!
The picture below is of my cutie pie, Levi at his Spring Program in Preschool. He is standing by some his artwork that he did this year.

And of course, I have to have an Easter basket picture!
Wyatt finally lost his first tooth! One month after he turned 6 yrs old! He has been wanting to lose a tooth for quite a while. And he literally "lost" it...we do not know where it went. We think he may have swallowed it while eating cereal in the morning!
Levi was very, very happy and proud to be able to get his very own library card! You had to be 5 yrs old and able to write your first and last name!
And just 2 days after his 1st tooth came out, he lost his 2nd one! This time, he wiggled it out and caught it! He was very happy to g $1 from the tooth fairy!
This isn't a pretty picture, but these are our blueberry bushes that are finally budding and going to produce berries this year! Very excited to get our very own blueberries from our backyard in a few months!
