The first few days of June were spent on playdates and pool dates with friends. We were sad to be leaving our great friends in NC for a little over 2 months. Adam's summer job (while he is "off" from teaching) is up in PA just 2 hrs from my parents' house. This is the 5th time that we have packed up a good portion of our house and basically "moved" to PA for the summer! The first time we did this, Levi was only 8 weeks old! It's crazy to think that we took on this adventure back when the kids were so little!
Every year it gets a little bit harder to leave NC as we are now truly "dwelling" (living AND enjoying) in Waxhaw in a house that we bought. We have friends...I mean, really, really good friends, who I really, really miss! It took me a while to "get" to this "place", and if you missed the posts about that journey, you can read it about here and here.
But while it is sad to think about the people we are missing in NC, it is helpful to know that when we go to PA, we have quite the amount of opportunities and experiences to enjoy! Going to PA for me means: soft, very soft, walk-bare-foot-all-the-time, green, very green, and soft grass, warm summer temps that aren't overbearing, trips to Ocean City, NJ, trips to Lancaster (Amish Farm Country), time with my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends from highschool, church, and college, and all the camp experiences my kids get to enjoy shown in a few pictures below...
A full gymnastics arena complete w/ tumble trak trampoline and uneven bars where Levi is becoming quite the acrobat!
Rides on golf carts is one of their favorite things! Even pretend rides when they are the driver and there is no key in the ignition! :-)
Wyatt, Uncle Bruce, Pop-Pop (my kids great-grandpa), my Mom and Levi on Father's Day
Cousin Ethan and Wyatt at the Columbia Zoo. We met my sister Emily there for the day right before we left to come to PA.
Levi, Hudson, Wyatt and Ethan
Daddy taught them all about tools by taking this bike part and putting it back together!

It looks like you are having a fantastic time in Oh. I can hardly keep up with your posts:) I am glad you are enjoying your summer but your family is missed here in NC!!
